Francis West jun. was taxed in No. Kingstown RI (Rochester RI) by the Andros decree of 6 Sep 1687 with his father Francis Wast (West) sen. and brother Richard West.

Francis Waste was a witness to a deed made 23 Jun 1723 by Thomas Culverwell whereby Thomas sold one acre with houses, millhouse, etc. on the Saugautecket River to his neighbor George Hazard of South Kingstown.

The will of Francis West of No. Kingstown RI dated (worn), proved 13 Oct 1724, names wife Sarah; eldest sons Peter and John Wast; sons Francis and Thomas; eldest daughter Susanna and daughters Sarah and Mary.

His will did not completely devise his estate and his heirs entered into a series of deeds to complete distribution of his estate. Sarah and her spouse John Phillips in 1731 discharged her brother Peter for her right in the estate of her father Francis West deceased.

On 25 Sep 1733 Peter West of North Kingstown, yeoman, sold 22 acres in North Kingstown to his brother Thomas West of North Kingstown, weaver.

On 12 Oct 1738 Thomas West of North Kingstown, weaver, quitclaimed to his brother Peter West his interest in a lot where Peter lived which had belonged to their father Francis West. In a deed made in 1740/41 in North Kingstown and recorded 14 May 1741, Thomas West conveyed to his brother John West his interest in his father's estate (no wife participating).²

The only proof that she married Francis West is in the diary of Samuel West (see Family #802). He wrote that his great grandfather Francis West came to America soon after the first settlement at Plymouth and married a daughter of George Soule and that his sons were Francis, Thomas, Peter, William, Richard, Clement and John and daughters Martha (who married a Fones) and Susanna (who married a Barber).³
